1. What is MRSA?

MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) is a staphyloccus that has developed a resistance to several types of antibiotics, including methicillin. MRSA does not cause more infections than other staphylococci but restricts the choice of treatment (antibiotic therapy).
