The campaign for adults delivers the message: "Let's Take Action to Stop the Spread of STIs."

The team from the SexEducator community proposes an update and expanded edition of the The Sex Educator Magazine about sexual health for adolescents. Given the resurgence of the sexually transmitted and blood-born infections among young people in Québec, it is essential to increase preventive actions.

The campaign for preventing STI's aims at encouraging young people to use condoms with their partners and to continue using condoms after their initial relations. The theme is "Beware and Be Aware." It reminds young people that infected individuals do not always have visible symptoms, which is why always using condoms is so important. Condoms. 100% on.

The "Let's Take Action to Stop the Spread of STIs" awareness campaign is calling on the people of Québec to rally together. The campaign includes radio messages, posters throughout the health and social services system, the launch of itss.gouv.qc.ca and publicity where people meet.

In Québec, despite prevention efforts that have been made over the last few years, 3 to 4 people still get infected with HIV every day. In its message to mark World AIDS Day 2009, the Ministère wishes to remind the population that prevention, screening and treatment are still the best ways to stop the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted and blood borne infections.
