AIDS is still around (2003)

The 2003 AIDS campaign is intended specifically for young adults in Quebec aged 25 to 34 years.

The ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux has launched a new communications campaign intended for adults aged 25 to 34 years. The goal of the campaign is to prevent transmission of HIV/AIDS. This is the second year for the “AIDS is still around” campaign, which aims to counteract ignorance and prejudices related to AIDS, and trivialisation of this problem.

The campaign includes two radio messages, which can be heard on http://www.marketel.com, as well as posters put up in targeted locations, specialized publications, and distribution of postcards in bars and discos in the Montréal and Québec areas. The campaign will run from 17 November to 15 December 2003.

For 1 December, World Aids Day, campaign material is distributed to partners who are closely involved in the fight against STI, and the public and community networks. Awareness-raising events will be held in downtown Montréal and Québec, bars on 28 and 29 November 2003 to mark this day.
