Mr. Denis A. Roy

Denis A. Roy is a community health specialist. He holds a Master’s in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Master’s in Epidemiology and a specialty in Community Health from McGill University. He is an assistant clinical professor at Université de Montréal and an associate professor at Université de Sherbrooke. Since November, 2009, Dr Roy has held the position of Vice President, Research, at the Québec National Public Health Institute. His role in this large organization, which is a leader in the field, involves planning, leadership, management and evaluation and thus contributes to the development of public health expertise and enhances the visibility of public health in Québec, Canada, and internationally. From 2003 to 2009, Dr Roy was a Director at the Montérégie Health and Social Services Agency.
