December 1st-2nd, 2011

This seminar is organized by the Observatoire international de la santé et des services sociaux (OISSS, international observatory on health and social services) which comes under the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux of Québec (MSSS), in collaboration with the Canada Research Chair on Governance and the Transformation of Organizations and Health Systems at the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP, public administration university).

The goal of this event was to examine how health organizations succeed – or do not succeed – in the process of continuous improvement of care and services and in significantly increasing their performance. It aims to learn from successful experiences and limitations encountered at the international, national and regional levels in the process of making changes in the health systems and their organizations.

This seminar wants to encourage the sharing of experience and discussion between the research and decision-making communities. It is the continuation of the seminar organized by the OISSS in March 2011 under the title: Performance Measures : a Tool to Ensure the Sustainability of Health and Social Services Systems ?
